Tanto en español como en inglés se puede
hacer una propuesta o dar un consejo en forma de una pregunta
lo que es más cortés que hacerlo de forma
afirmativa. Al usar el subjuntivo o formularlo de manera
negativa (no debes ir....) es todavía más
cortés. La tabla abajo muestra los verbos que pueden
servir para hacer propuestas o dar consejos.
