  21.2.2.1 or = o
You can have this book or this CD.
  Puedes tener este libro o este cd.  
  We can go to the movies or to the theatre.
  Podemos ir al cine o al teatro.  

  21.2.2.2 either ... or = o
1) She either dresses at once or she must stay home.
  Se viste ahora mismo o se queda en casa.
  2) They could either buy a new car or renovate the house for the same money.
  Pueden renovar la casa o utilizar el dinero para comprarse un nuevo coche.
  3) We go either to the exhibition or to the restaurant.
  Vamos a la exposición o al restaurante.  

Si las opciones se refieren a distintos verbos, como en la frase 1), either está delante del verbo. Si las opciones se refieren al mismo verbo, como en la frase 3), either está detrás del verbo. Si los dos verbos dependen de un verbo modal, como en la frase 2), either está detrás de este verbo modal.

  21.2.2.3 otherwise = sino
You must do your homework first; otherwise you are not allowed to go to the football training.
  Primero tienes que hacer tus tareas, sino no puedes ir al entrenamiento de fútbol.
  We must understand some of the grammar; otherwise learning languages is without hope.
  Primero tenemos que aprender un poco de gramática, sino no hay ninguna esperanza de aprender un lenguaje.
